COLOUR SAVING TIPS

 

 

 

Do not wash your hair for 72 hours after your colour service. This is to ensure your cuticle has closed fully and seals in the colour.

Always use professional salon aftercare to ensure you are using products that are formulated for your hair and colour. Always use heat protection.

Have K18 in your colour as this helps to keep your colour looking fresh, prevents premature fading, it also protects the inside and outside of your hair during the chemical service.

Vivids/rainbow hair should not be washed more than twice a week to keep it nice and vibrant. You should also wash in cold water to prevent your colour fading too quickly. 

​

Blondes should shampoo their hair no more than twice a week and use a blonde mask once a week. Toners last between 12-20 washes so, the more you wash your hair, the quicker you will lose the tone.

Use lukewarm water. Hot water will open your cuticle more and can make your colour fade more quickly. Hard water can also cause a lot of fade. You can buy shower heads that filter out impurities online. Your colour will thank you!
